Jeremy felt like telling him about how Elena is gone like Jamie and ever coming back, but he had to wait for the right moment. Seeing his best friend like this was truly heartbreaking for Jeremy as he knows Joey doesn’t deserve any of this sadness, he only deserves the best. In a swift moment Jeremy had grabbed Joey up into a hug. “Now I don’t hug people often, so you should feel special.” Smiling softly he released the hug and sighed, “You know Joey, things aren’t meant to be always right and happy, sometimes you just gotta put up with the bad then in time you get a whole lotta good.” Jeremy tried to smile reassuringly. Hoping it was working, it looked like it was.
Joey was dumbfounded for a moment, feeling Jeremy’s arms pull Joey up, into a short, tight hug. Once the boy had released him from the hug, Joey still didn’t say anything, only blinking stupidly, before grinning like an idiot. “My momma always told me I was a special boy,” he joked. He was thankful for the hug, though, it’d been a while since he last hugged someone - Jamie being the last person he hugged, after she cracked the ice, almost killing herself. Oh no, and now he was thinking about her again. He closed his eyes, bringing both of his hands up to his temples and sighing softly as he rubbed the sides of his head. He nodded, “I know, Jer, trust me, I know. But my life’s always been quite shitty, I just wished things would go right for a change.” He let his hands fall to his sides, looking at Jeremy sideways, “So tell me, what’s bugging you exactly? I know you’re faking your mood, I can feel it.”

“I heard you fall, smooth.” Jeremy laughed a little and nudged Joeys arm slightly. Sitting on the couch with him he sighed and tilted his head back, not being in the best of moods he attempted to look happy. “All you need to do is call and bingo I’m here.” He said with a smile and done a hand movement in the way of a rainbow of some sort. Sitting up straight he looked over towards the TV, Doctor Who was on and that did not bother Jeremy one bit. “So, what’s happened man?” Jeremy positioned himself so he was at an angle which he could still concentrate on Joey but still watch the Doctor. It was his favourite show of course.
Joey grinned, shrugging slowly, “I kinda fell asleep on the couch… The knocking woke me up, making me fall onto the ground.” He noticed Jeremy faking his happy mood, frowning just a little bit. No, he was probably just imagining that. Jeremy would tell him if something was up, he knew he wouldn’t have to fake anything when he was around Joey. He looked down at his hands, letting out a tiny sigh as Jer asked him what had happened. “It’s… Jamie. She disappeared. And not for a couple of days. She’ll be gone forever, I probably won’t ever see her again.” Somehow, by saying it out loud, all his sadness came back to him, feeling as if someone had kicked him in the stomach. “She left me a fucking note, telling me something that I’ve been dreaming of forever. But when I finally got to read those words, it just made everything feel worse. It’s like as if she thought it wasn’t enough to just leave me, no, she also had to rip my damn heart out…” He closed his eyes, hiding his face in the pillow once again and letting out a louder sigh.

Jeremy flung his head back and gave a long sigh, rubbing his eyes he shut down his laptop then shoved it in a drawer. Looking around for his jumper he ended up finding a picture of him and Elena, looking happier than ever – just goofing around as they usually did. It hit him that she had left, without saying goodbye or she’ll be back in a few days, no, she just took off. He tried to put that thought of his head for a while, right now all he wanted to do was make Joey happy by being the ever so enthusiastic Jeremy everyone knew, he would just be all sad later or something.
Making his way down to Joey’s room, realising that the place was empty as most people went home, although him and Nina had just came back. He finally arrived at the door and knocked in a little tune, putting on a smile he was ready to be the happy person he usually was.
Joey fell off the couch once he heard the knocking, letting out a loud moan as he slowly got up from the floor. “Ow, my ass, fucking hell,” he complained, standing up straight for a couple of minutes to get his balance back, trying to ignore the pain in his back that hit him when he’d fallen off the couch. Why had he woken up again? He looked around the room, getting distracted by the tenth Doctor on his screen. When he heard another knock on the door, he looked up, “Oh, right.” He took his time, walking over to the door, opening it slowly, showing a faint smile as he saw Jeremy. “Hey Jer… come on in.” He stepped aside, letting his friend in and closed the door behind him. Afterwards, he sat down on the couch again, looking at Jeremy as the guy joined him on the couch.
He sighed, turning his head back to Doctor Who, letting his head fall back onto the pillow. “Oh, of course, the food is…,” he pointed at what he believed was the desk, “On the desk. Plus some chocolate in the fridge. And drinks too, of course.” He forgot about the fact that Jeremy probably already knew that, instead focusing on the TV again. “Thanks for coming, by the way…”
